Meet Our Staff

When I was 7 years old in the backseat of my grandparents’ car, I recall drawing a Yellow Page ad for the veterinary hospital that I would open when I grew up. I gave it the name of “Professional Pet Care” so that people would know it was both a professional and caring hospital. I’ve always felt a kinship with animals and was able to have many types of childhood pets including cats, dogs, a horse, fish, birds, rabbits, rats, a snake, and hamsters. Each left their imprint on my heart. I also spent several summers in Germany during my elementary school years and we lived next door to a farm where I loved to “help” milk cows, bottle-feed calves, and play with piglets and kittens.

I was fortunate to pursue my dream of becoming a veterinarian and completed my undergraduate degree (B.S. in Biology) at Arizona State University in 2000. I obtained the doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. After completing a terrific one year internship at VCA West L.A. Animal Hospital in July 2006 I moved back to the Valley and have since been practicing small animal medicine in my home state of Arizona. My professional interests include emergency and critical care medicine, internal medicine, surgery (soft tissue and orthopedic), feline medicine, wellness and preventative medicine, pain management, and dentistry.

Life has been fun and busy with the birth of my son, Cameron, born February 2009. My husband Cliff, Cameron, and I share our home with two dogs (Maverick, a 5-year-old Shepherd/Rottweiler mix, and Stetson, a 13-year-old Tibetan terrier mix) and six cats (Boots, Nigel, Sunny, Fergie, Chardonnay, and Stripey). Outside of work I treasure spending time with my family. We take advantage of the wonderful Arizona weather (not summer!) at the park, zoo, splash pads, railroad park, and other kid-friendly places. I also greatly enjoy reading, relaxing, movies, restaurants, hiking, fishing, camping, and playing tennis. I look forward to meeting your four footed family members someday soon!

Donna

I have been grooming at North Buckeye Animal Hospital for three wonderful years. I’ve been a groomer for over 20 years. I have four pets that I’ve rescued. My husband, Nipper, whom I rescued ten years ago, our 6-year old great dane, Diesel, our three year old miniature pinscher, Jesse, and our cat, Zoey, who I truly believe thinks she is a dog. Anyways, I really enjoy being a dog groomer because I love animals. I also take a lot of pride in my grooming and try my best to satisfy our clients. But most of all, I try to make your pets grooming experience as pleasant as I possibly can. I look forward to meeting you and the furry member(s) of your family!

Julie

Since I was a child, my desire was to always to help those animals that are in need. As I grew older, my passion for animals kept growing. Therefore, I began going to a veterinary technology school to further my education, turning my studies into my career. I have now proudly served 6 years in veterinary medicine and I don’t regret one day of it. Providing the utmost care for our furry family members is the most rewarding feeling one can receive.

Kellie

My name is Kellie and I have been working in the veterinary field since 2000. I started working at a specialty hospital in Tucson, Arizona and fell in love. I worked in the surgery department at the specialty hospital. My passion is veterinary anesthesia and surgery. My husband and I moved to Buckeye with our 4 year old daughter in February of 2009. Shortly after we moved, I started working for North Buckeye Animal Hospital. My family and I have a crazy cat named "Sully", that likes to act like a dog and a miniature dachshund named "Vienna". My family is extremely important to me, so we try to have family time as much as we can.

Kim

My name is Kim Johns. I am currently a student along with working at a job I love. I always knew I would work with animals in some capacity. When I'm not at school or work, I am either spending time with my husband and two dogs or doing photography. I especially like doing wildlife photography and traveling as much as I can to do so.

Mary

My name is Mary and I've been with North Buckeye Animal Hospital since January 2007. I started as a kennel assistant and am currently a receptionist. My husband, Glynn, and I have several animals on our mini ranch, keeping our lives very busy and extremely happy. We have cats, dogs, indoor birds, chickens, goats and horses. Being a part of the staff at North Buckeye Animal Hospital has been a blessing. Each day is unique, learning something new to maintain healthy and happy animals. I am grateful to be able to work with knowledgeable, compassionate people, treating the patients as their own.

In the little free time we have, we both enjoy bicycle riding, music, reading and spending time with our families. I also ride the horses as much as possible, while Glyn finds time to ride his motorcycle. Life is good! Please enjoy some of our animal family photos.

Tiffany

I would like to take a moment of your time to tell you a little bit about myself. I am a veterinary technician and have been for almost six years. I have been working to save, improve, and help animals and their owners by educating them on how to care for their loved ones needs. I have been working at North Buckeye Animal Hospital since December 2009. I am so happy to work with a staff that feels the same way I do and it is a wonderful environment to be in.

I live with my boyfriend Jon, we are childhood sweethearts, and my little brother Jesse, who is that same age as my "Buster" boy. "Buster" is an eight year old pit bull mix who I love to death. We also have "Kasha", AKA kisses or weal butt lab mix who is such a sweet girl. "Kasha's" mom was hit by a car when she was only a few weeks old. "Flogging Molly" is my mini German Shepperd that we saved when she was going to be put down because she had parvo. "Garfield" is a orange tabby who always wants love, and "Nermal" a DLH black and white love bug. Last but not lest "Spike" our sulcata tortoise that always seems to steal the show away.
